THE best pastries in NYC--probably even outside of Paris. You might not guess it because of the somewhat bland interior. Make sure that you get here early in the morning before all of the pastries are sold out. They really do go fast! I especially recommend the pain au chocolat. YUM!!!
Located in the trendy Meatpacking District, Pop Burger brings much more than burgers to the table. By day, they dish out delicious burgers, fries, and shakes (I suggest the "Invisible Burger" which are honestly the best Portobello burger I've ever had), and by night they reveal a luxe back room, which features pool tables, laid-back lounges, and an limited menu full of tasty treats.
Aja is a great asian bar/restaurant located in the middle east side. With a very cool setting of asian statues and delicious sushi food, it attracts a fun crowd. It is often seen to have people spilling out onto the sidewalk.
Best place for young adults or teenagers. They have an small outside area to eat. On the menu you will find typical italian food from pasta to pizza. I would recommend the Pizza Polpettine (with baby meatballs). The music is a mix of alternative and rock provided from the public radio station East Village Radio.
Ever wished you could go to Mars? Well now you can!!! Take a ride to outerspace and snack some of the famous mystic pizzas on your way! The mars family (including Empress Glorianna, Captain Orion, and QTP) are always friendly and welcoming. The food is so delicious that the lines can be long, but, trust me, it's worth the wait! And guess what, you're in luck, you can even have your birthday party there!!! Some of the stellar dishes include the Garlileo Garden Burger and the Nebula Chili Nachos. You are sure to enjoy this galactic extravaganza!!!!
This is a fantastic small restaurant located downtown. It serves classic british food-treacle pudding, good tea, ribena, spotted dick-etc, in a cozey setting. The owners are very friendly and the atmosphere is warm, open, and cheerful. There is a gift shop right next down with lots of british goods and a Fish and Chips shop two stores down. You might run into some of your favorite British actors, rock stars, or even the Dalai Lama!
This diner is always full to the brim with locals and teens from nearby schools. You may even see stars who live nearby in a baseball cap and jeans. Come here for great french fries that people crave for and delicious burgers and milkshakes. Their food is good but only if you want greasy comfort food.
This is such a local hang. This is where tons of teens form nearby schools eat. Many parents and teens come to eat at the small circular marble tables. Their food is fresh, there are large portions, and a large selection. They have great before school breakfasts, which include favorites like oatmeal, salmon on baguette, bagels with assorted toppings, croissants, and chocolate croissants. Their lunches include favorites like chicken fingers, soups, salads, boxed lunches (perfect for picnics in the Central Park), cookies, and pinwheel sandwiches.
When you enter the bakery, you are hit with the scent of sugar. That is if you can get in. The line to get in the relatively small bakery is usually out the door. The Magnolia Bakery is extremely popular. It even has become a tourist attraction because the Sex and the City girls made it famous on TV. There is only one table in the bakery so; most people take their sweets to go. There is a self-serve area for their famous cupcakes. The cupcakes are bright and cheery and in an array of pastel colors. They also have different yummy cakes out like Red Velvet which you can buy slices of.
This restaurant is located somewhat out of the way but if you do find yourself in the neighborhood I would stop here to eat. The cuisine is Asian and this is reflected in the décor. The restaurant is separated into two sides by a row of Beachwood tree trunks. On one side is the sushi bar that faces a rock waterfall. There are six sushi chefs that create delicious sushi including my favorite the Eel Avocado Roll ($6 plus tax and tip). I would start off with the tasty Seaweed Salad (which is more appetizing than it sounds) and the Duck Spring Roll.
The Tide Travel Sink Packets have enough detergent to wash a few items in your hotel sink when you travel. Throw a few in your bag—you just never know!

Ask anyone the first city they think of visiting when someone mentions a trip to California? Los Angeles of course! Because L.A is widely known as the glamorous capital of beachy, sun-kissed SoCal, not many people consider San Francisco a must-go travel spot. However, having lived in the Bay Area for over a year now, I have to admit that I have fallen in love with SF, and consider it one of the most underrated cities in America.
As a Parisian of Moroccan heritage, every year I travel in Morocco. I have déja visited several cities such as Casablanca, Marrakesh, Fez, Rabat, Tangier, Oujda and Saidia. The last city is the one where I own a house. I like very much this city because it is small and because all people know each other for a very long time. Year after year, the city attracts more tourists.
Hi I'm Blaise Miller. Because my school is an international online academy, I get to travel around the world with my family. I've seen so many places, and I'm excited to share fun trip ideas. One of my favorite souvenirs is to get a charm to remember each place I've been. I've put mine on a necklace.&nbs
