Chinatown
New YorkUnited States
This is such a fun place! Here, you can get great Chinese food and designer knock-offs. This is a neighborhood where you can bargain on the price and if you don’t like a store’s price you can walk to the next shop, (most of the stores have about the same things).
You can also get the cute Chinese slippers here, a great present for all your friends back home --- and they’re only $3-$5. Stick to the main streets like Canal and Mott. Cons: it smells in some places because there are open fish markets, sidewalks are uneven, handbags beware: it’s really crowded here and some wallets are stolen, try not to go in the rain because the sewage isn’t that great.
